How to travel like a pro

by catherine brawner in

Oh my! It's been too long since I last checked in. There are so many projects in the works right now that I can't wait to share with you. Until I'm able to unveil a few (like my new packaging!), I thought I would recap my summer travels and create a list of my favorite travel tips. But things went a little off course.

If I had to write a "what I did on my summer vacation" report, it would read like horror story. All of our travel in the last few months can be summed up in a comedy of errors complete with flight cancellations and medical emergencies. But don't get me wrong, we laughed the whole time. In those scenarios, what else can you do?! I'm grateful that we only ended up with wacky stories to share (and a Bejeweled addiction that someone picked up during a 20-hour layover), because things could have been way worse.

So instead of a long list of travel tips that may not apply to your trip. I hereby gift to you the most essential tool of them all - be adaptableI am forever reminding myself that plans change. Slow down and live in the moment. Expect that if something could go wrong, it will. And then roll with it.

Not all of our time was spent getting tetanus shots and changing gates at the airport. Cleveland, Ohio was gorgeous. Even if it rained all but one day :)
